No overtaking

Overtaking is prohibited on this stretch of road.

What it means in practice

Two car symbols inside a red circle mean you must not overtake. Overtaking is also prohibited by law near crossings, at junctions, on the approach to bends, dips, hump-back bridges and the brow of a hill, whether or not a sign is present.
